MY STORY
My name is Cooper Shannon, I am a sophomore at Indiana University studying public financial management. I graduated from high school in 2023 which is where I found my love of photography. When I learned I did not make the varsity team with my best friends, I knew I needed to find a way to stay a part of the brotherhood that Orono Basketball had been in for the previous decade. Then, I became an official manager and photographer of that same team; I cherished every moment I was given in both years I got to evolve my Orono basketball legacy with my brothers.
Now, at IU (go Hoosiers!), I am knee-deep in my studies as well as working as a photography intern for IU Athletics. My team and I are tasked with capturing every game, media day, recruit, and one-off event for each of IU’s 24 sports. From following the historic 2024 football team to an unforgettable playoff birth to capturing the official visit for a 7-foot international basketball recruit to watching the paint dry (literally) on the tennis team's new outdoor court, I am extremely fortunate to capture the vast array of what BIG10 sports have to offer.
Outside of the school year, during breaks, and at any opportunity I get, I am up for anything! I love experimenting with seniors, sports, weddings, and everything in between!
